Foreign object detection in medicinal products

In collaboration with an industry partner we would like to examine large quantities of glass vials containing a medicinal liquid. The project has a practical aspect in determining the best placement of cameras and lighting as well as a machine learning component. The foreign objects can be glass shards that are hard to detect in liquid and drops to the bottom, as well as plastic/rubber materials that are lighter and floats on top. The project can be broken into smaller parts, looking only at one challenge.
